– Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, ALB, CloudFront, and S3, across multiple regions to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and security.
– Utilize Pulumi to create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automated provisioning and configuration.
– Monitor system performance using New Relic and proactively resolve issues. Optimize resource usage for cost efficiency and performance.
– Manage and enhance deployment pipelines with Octopus Deploy, ensuring seamless releases aligned with CI/CD best practices.
– Develop and implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
– Implement and monitor cloud security best practices, access controls, and compliance with relevant industry standards.
– Collaborate with development teams to support deployments and resolve infrastructure issues. Offer technical expertise to improve team effectiveness.
– Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, operational procedures, and policies to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Requirements:

– Post-secondary education in computer science or related field
– 3+ years of experience in security or DevOps roles, with a focus on managing AWS environments
– Strong understanding of AWS architecture and security best practices
– Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and AWS automation tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
– Experience managing and securing multi-region AWS environments
– Strong understanding of software development, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles in AWS
– Knowledge of .NET development, deployment, and maintenance within AWS environments
– Familiarity with various security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC 2) and AWS-specific guidelines (e.g., AWS Well-Architected Framework)
– Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as SNYK and and vulnerability testing software
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Specific focus on communication internally with the Engineering Team and Executive
– Track record of balancing both business and technical priorities and persuading others to make sure this balance is maintained
